These insights are at the core of our patient empowerment programs. Their potential results are at the core of our company: hope for a healthier tomorrow.
To date, esperity has been funded privately with the support of the Fournier-Majoie Foundation and the Caring Entrepreneurship Fund.

Mitchell is CEO and one of the co-founders of Esperity. Mitchell has obtained a master degree in Bio-Engineering and a PhD at the University
of Leuven, Belgium. He is also founder of Health2.0 Chapter Belgium, an organisation promoting innovation in the digital health sector. Mitchell also is a patient advocate for rare diseases.
Erard de Hemricourt
Erard graduated from the Free University of Brussels (ULB) first as a medical
doctor in 1995 then in 2000 as a specialist in nuclear medicine. During his
training and after a short passage through the oncology department in Johns
Hopkins (USA), Erard mainly performed his training at the Institut Jules Bordet,
one of the most famous and important oncology centres in Belgium. Since his
graduation, Erard has continued working mainly in the field of cancer. Through his
practice, Erard gradually understood the need from patients to better understand
their disease but also to be able to discuss without complex and barriers personal
issues with people from the medical and non-medical field.
Costin graduated the Polytechnics University of Bucharest, Romania, in 2006.
With a degree in computer science engineering and a master in enterprise
software architecture, he is now focused on making a difference in the software
industry. For the past years Costin has been involved in most of the major
software areas, from enterprise retail applications, to e-commerce, medical
software and custom business solutions. Quite fond of the title of preferrer IBM
DB2 trainer in Romania, Costin is currently expressing his ideas in database and
web app architecture together with Esperity. Mainly functioning as business
analyst and project manager, Costin has been involved in Esperity since the
beginning and he is now in charge of the entire app’s architecture and
Graduated in Journalism from the University of the Basque Country (2008),
Sheila has dedicated herself to the support of Communication and Marketing
strategies in International companies. With postgraduate studies in Enterprise Communication, Advertising and Community Management, and a Master Degree on Marketing and Digital Business, Sheila has extensive work experience in media
environments, digital publishing and marketing industries, with a focus on
innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Neal holds a BA in Psychology and a Masters in International Marketing, along with certificates in coaching and systemic psychoanalysis. She is a seasoned digital marketing strategist and business developer in digital health and management consulting industries. She has several year of work experience in project management, training and client relations in the cosmetics manufacturing industry and is experienced at leading business expansion into new territories (MENA, Far East, Europe & US). Neal is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
A twenty-year, three-time cancer survivor who has spent those twenty years forwarding the cause for meaningful survivorship. Natalie works on web design, social media, and infographics to increase communication and improve upon Esperity's global mission of improving quality of life for cancer patients and survivors. Natalie is a professional designer and has been teaching at the Academy of Arts in San Francisco.
